Wyatt Flores gathered a large and passionate following since releasing his debut track “Tavelin’ Kid” in 2021. Songs like “Please Don’t Go,” “Losing Sleep,” and “Break My Bones” helped to put him on the playlists of country fans everywhere. His EPs The Hutson Sessions (2022), Life Lessons (2023), and Half Life (2024) were met with praise from fans and critics alike. Now, Flores is ready to unleash his first full-length album. Welcome to the Plains will hit streaming platforms and record stores on October 18. Hear the lead single “Don’t Wanna Say Goodnight” below.

Flores first announced Welcome to the Plains Monday (August 26) on social media. At the time, though, he didn’t share a release date. Yesterday (August 29), Flores made things official, sharing the release date and tracklist. Each of Wyatt Flores’ releases could be related to chapters in the story of his life. With Welcome to the Plains, the Oklahoma native plans to give listeners a broader view of him as a person and as an artist. Across the album’s 14 tracks, he’ll share his journey from his hometown of Stillwater to where he is today with all the ups and downs along the way.

Flores spoke about the album in a press release. “It’s an album about home and a search for happiness. It’s an album about Stillwater, Oklahoma, and all the other little towns that have raised people like you and me,” he shared. The album, he added, is, “About my family, and the people and places in my life who have defined who I am today. This album is happy on one side and heartbreak on the other, and whoever you are, I hope you find something you love in here.”
