Born in Pikeville, Kentucky, Dwight Yoakam grew up surrounded by country music. Having a love for music himself, Yoakam turned that love into a career that continues today. Finding inspiration from singers like Johnny Horton and Elvis Presley, the singer produced over a dozen studio albums. His last, Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars hit shelves back in 2016. Although it has been nearly a decade since he released a new album, Yoakam was recently spotted strolling through Hollywood on horseback. And if that was confusing enough, he had some company as Post Malone rode right beside him.

Sharing a video online, TMZ obtained footage that showed Yoakam and Malone riding down Sunset Boulevard. And besides riding on a pair of horses, both singers appeared to be wearing their best outfits. While there aren’t many details surrounding the video, many speculated the set surrounded a new collaboration between the singers.

Post Malone And Dwight Yoakam Shared The Stage Before

Other than Yoakam and Malone, the set for the music video also welcomed other celebrities like Shaun White and Nina Dobrev. And thanks to photographer Clint Webb, pictures of the music video eventually landed online. Fans discussed the upcoming song, writing, “Posty was spotted on a horsey for his new music video featuring Dwight Yoakam!” Not every fan was excited about the new direction from Malone. “ I wish Post Malon would go back to his old music. I miss his old stuff.”

Outside of Hollywood, both Malone and Yoakam shared a past. In 2019, the pair attended the GQ Men of the Year celebration. Although having more than enough laughs, the singers also shared the spotlight at Stagecoach when Malone decided to welcome Yoakam to the stage. Joining forces, the duo performed, “Little Ways.”

Embracing country music and its talented singers, Malone might have found a new home within country music. Praising country music and Nashville, the singer declared, “I am happy… I can’t remember the last album that I made where I was like, I have a 2-year-old, I’m 29 years old… I’m taking it easy and slowing it down. And I think it’s really nice meeting people in Nashville that made me feel so welcome and new friends and kind of building new stuff. And for once I’m not sad anymore. I’m happy, very happy… And it was such a fresh thing going and watching this band and writing with new people.”
