With nearly 20 years in the music industry, Adele spent that time selling over 120 million albums and producing some of the most heartbreaking songs. She also brought home more than a few awards for her contributions to music. But while thrilled about her success on stage, Adele recently announced she wanted to take a break from performing as she looked to enjoy the life she built around her.

While performing her last show in Munich, Adele took a moment to address the crowd and give them a glimpse into her life. With thousands in attendance, the hitmaker said, “I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very f**king good at it. And I have really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I’ll ever do.”

Although excited to take a break from the spotlight, Adele still has 10 shows remaining for her Las Vegas Residency. Earlier this year, the shows were postponed due to illness. But with the singer preparing to finish the shows, she insisted, “After that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time.”

Adele Calls Her Time On Stage “Spectacular”

Adele was sure to praise her fans for their support over the years. “I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break, and I will fantasize about these shows and any shows that I’ve done over the last three years. It has been amazing, I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now.”

Soaking in the moment on stage, Adele concluded her statement, promising fans, “I will remember these shows for eternity, they have been spectacular.”

Online, fans appeared to support Adele taking a break with comments reading, “Take all the time you need, live the life you’ve always been dreaming of. We’ll be here when you’re ready.” Another person added, “I’m so happy for her and so proud of her. Adele deserves to be happy and loved as much as possible. Rest well and take good care of yourself and live a happy life with Rich Paul. May God bless and protect you both from negative energy.”
