Did Miranda Lambert Accidentally Spill the Beans About a Post Malone Collaboration?

Post Malone has collaborated with some of the biggest names in country music. His debut album features a laundry list of artists including Luke Combs, Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, and many more. More recently, Dwight Yoakam tapped him for the lead single from his forthcoming album. Miranda Lambert is one of a few Nashville A-listers that Posty is yet to record with. However, they may have something in the works.

Last night (September 11), Lambert made her MTV Video Music Awards debut as a presenter. It may have been her first time at the VMAs but it wasn’t her first time on the red carpet. She is comfortable handling brief interviews with multiple media outlets. During last night’s press rounds, she may have gotten too comfortable and nearly revealed a surprise collaboration with Malone.

Do Miranda Lambert and Post Malone Have a Collaboration Up Their Sleeves?

While on the red carpet, Miranda Lambert stopped to talk to The Hollywood Reporter. During their brief chat, she shared some of her favorite albums of 2024 and talked a little about Postcards from Texas which drops tomorrow. The possible slip came when the interview asked her about the artist she’s “itching to get back into the studio with.”

“Yeah, I’ve got to collaborate a little bit with Posty. So, I would like to,” and then she trailed off. Lambert quickly recovered though. “He’s been hanging around Nashville making friends with all of us. It’s just great,” she said. Then, she added, “And Chappell Roan. I’m a huge fan. I’m going to meet her tonight and I’m excited to see her perform.”

This possible slip left some wondering if Lambert is planning to release a collaboration with Post Malone.

Lambert on Postcards from Texas

During the brief chat, the interviewer asked Miranda Lambert about her forthcoming album. “This record’s called Postcards from Texas and I made it in Austin,” Lambert said. “I hadn’t made a record in Texas since I was 18 and I’ve been doing this for over 20 years. So, it felt very full circle for me to go home to my honky tonk roots for sure,” she explained.
