Darius Rucker is a Gamecock through and through. And with it being Saturday, that can mean only one thing – college football. Wanting to kick off College GameDay the right way, the singer traveled to South Carolina to perform “Beers and Sunshine” for his Alma Mater.

With Saturday promoting matchups like Michigan versus AR State and Alabama looking to upset Wisconsin, the weekend is sure to bring a few hits. But before the teams took the field, Rucker took the stage to entertain fans. And for any fan of college football, there is no better way to spend the day than with a few beers and more than enough sunshine. With the perfect song in mind, Rucker might have picked the best song for College GameDay.

Looking at what fans had to say about the performance, comments included, “On a positive note regarding Kentucky not getting GameDay…We get to hear Darius Rucker perform.” Another person added, “Looks like the morning is off to a great start for Gamecock fans in Columbia Darius Rucker takes the stage now in Gamecock Park playing live on College GameDay.”

Darius looks forward to working through this probationary period and putting this all behind him.”

With his legal troubles behind him, Rucker looked to the future and continued to share his love for music with fans.
