America’s Got Talent will return tonight, September 17, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, with a brand new episode. Not only is the episode new, but it’s also one of the final episodes, where the Top 10 contestants will perform their various talents for the final time in a bid to win $1 million.

This is the third to last episode, and will not feature the overall winner just yet. Tonight’s episode merely features the final performances, which will carry over into Friday’s episode, September 20. On Tuesday, September 24, the America’s Got Talent winner will finally be crowned.

There are two musical performances in the Top 10 who captured America’s attention early on—Dee Dee Simon, a prison nurse; and Richard Goodall, a janitor. They both possess incredible vocal talents, which kept them in the competition all the way to the very end.

Goodall was a Golden Buzzer winner for his rendition of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” He flew from Indiana to Los Angeles to audition, and the judges loved him immediately. They pushed him through in the competition with the Golden Buzzer, which indicates a unanimously positive decision from the judges. Fans of the show latched onto him as well, loving his story and determination. It looks like America’s Got Talent fans are still rooting for Goodall until the very end of the competition.

Meanwhile, Dee Dee Simon also wowed the judges with her initial rendition of Jennifer Hudson’s “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls. She introduced herself as a registered nurse at San Quentin State Prison, and told a fascinating story of the time her singing caused a prison riot.

To hear Simon tell it, “When I first got there, after I sang a song, a riot broke out,” she told the judges and audience at the time. “Then I had to triage everybody,” she explained, which is the practice of assessing people for injuries. Simon has been a nurse at San Quentin for 19 years, so safe to say she knew what she was doing there. However, she most likely didn’t expect to cause a riot with her voice.

She continued, “So I waited all these years, and then they asked me again. I just [sang at the prison] two months ago and it was peace.” When asked what brought her to America’s Got Talent, Simon replied, “Destiny,” adding, “I don’t see myself any place else but here right now.”

Fans have also been rallying behind Dee Dee Simon for the winner. However, there can only be one at the end of the day. Will Richard Goodall or Dee Dee Simon take home the $1 million? Or will comedian Learnmore Jonasi or acrobats Airfootworks be crowned America’s most talented act? For the final decision, fans should tune in on September 24 for the finale, but don’t miss out on the final performances tonight and on September 20.
