‘The Voice’ Hopeful Gets No Turns, but Doesn’t Leave Empty-Handed Thanks To Snoop Dogg

The Voice has been going strong since 2011, kicking off its 26th season Monday (Sept. 23) evening. A new crop of aspiring artists are all vying for their shot at the $100,000 grand prize and recording contract with Universal Music Group. Season 26 also brings some fresh faces in coaching newcomers Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg, joining veterans Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. And while one Dallas artist will not move forward in the competition, she is leaving with the memory of a lifetime.

Snoop Dogg Exchanges Gifts With ‘The Voice’ Contestant

Born and raised in Richardson, Texas, Amanda Bongiovanni (aka RAVS) has nursed a passion for music since she “came out of the womb.” The visual artist took the stage Monday (Sept. 23) for her Blind Audition, performing Doja Cat’s “Say So.”

Unfortunately, none of the coaches turned their chair for RAVS. That means her time on The Voice has come to an end, along with her shot at the $100,000 grand prize or the recording contract with Universal Music Group.

However, RAVS isn’t leaving the set empty handed. The aspiring musician gifted coach Snoop Dogg with a vest she painted herself. In return, the West Coast icon, 52, gave her a Death Row Records chain.

If you aren’t moving forward on The Voice, a chain from Snoop Dogg isn’t a bad consolation prize.

To make it better, RAVS is clearly a fan of the 16-time GRAMMY-nominated rapper. Here she is performing a cover of Snoop’s 2004 hit “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”

Viewers Are Already Calling For RAVS’ Return

While RAVS may not have accomplished her desired outcome on The Voice, she did gain several fans. Many viewers turned to social media to voice their desire to see her on a future season.

“Come back, Ravs!” one viewer wrote on X/Twitter.

While another viewer wasn’t a fan of RAVS’ song choice, they hoped that “she doesn’t take this as a negative experience and she improves on her craft.”

“Love Snoop’s and everyone else’s encouragement, though,” another viewer chimed in. “Sometimes it isn’t about being awesome, it’s about doing what makes you happy.”
