The Weeknd has a billion reasons to celebrate. On Monday, Spotify announced that the 34-year-old singer, who was born Abel Tesfaye, has become the artist with the most songs in its Billions Club.

The Weeknd leads the exclusive club, which includes songs that’ve raked in more than one billion streams, with 18 tracks.

The title track off of The Weeknd’s 2020 album, After Hours, sealed the deal for the artist. The Weeknd’s other songs on the list include “Die for You,” “Heartless,” and “Can’t Feel My Face.”

Before “After Hours” landed in the billions club, The Weeknd was tied with Drake for the lead.

In addition to his latest record, The Weeknd holds the title for most streamed song on Spotify. His 2020 track “Blinding Lights” has been played more than four billion times on the streaming service.

The Weeknd Isn’t the Biggest Artist on Spotify

Despite all of his Spotify accolades, The Weeknd recently relinquished one title to Billie Eilish. Last month, The Weeknd dropped to the second most listened to artist on Spotify. While The Weeknd raked in 99.8 million listens over the prior month, Eilish topped that with 100.1 million.

The Weeknd wasn’t disappointed by the updated, though. In fact, the singer took to X to celebrate Eilish’s accomplishment, writing, “Let’s go!”
