With a career dating all the way back to the 1960s, Ozzy Osbourne took a break from performing over the last year to focus on his health. Although loving performing in front of thousands of fans, his health made it extremely difficult to stand for long periods of time. Still, Osbourne continued to share his love for music and hoped to return to the stage once again. And that moment might have finally come thanks to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In October, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will welcome a new class of icons into their history. Among those inducted are Jimmy Buffett, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Big Mama Thornton, Dionne Warwick, Osbourne, and many more. With the ceremony taking place in Cleveland, Ohio, the singer apparently informed his band he was going to travel from his home in California to perform at the event, via The Mirror.

Ozzy Osbourne Recalled Wild Times With Black Sabbath

Marking his second time being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Osbourne shared his excitement, saying, “It’s still hard to believe I’m about to be a two-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I’m really looking forward to attending the induction ceremony in Cleveland this October. More importantly, I am so blessed to have had such an incredible career with amazing fans who have stuck by me through thick and thin over the years.”

Never one to shy away from his past struggles with drug abuse, Osbourne once revealed that Black Sabbath employed a drug dealer to go on the road with them. Speaking on The Madhouse Chronicles Podcast, the rockstar admitted, “In Sabbath, when we discovered cocaine, it was like the meaning of life. We had a dealer on the road with us.” He continued, “We had this guy, he was a bit strange. And he’d have these f**king bags with these big f**king chunks of c**e. Big bags of c**e.”

Thanks to the love and support of his family, Osbourne eventually put the drugs down and focused on staying clean and celebrating his rich history in heavy metal.
