Taylor Swift Donates Staggering $5 Million to Hurricane Relief

With the effects of Hurricane Helene still felt in east Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, another hurricane was the last thing needed. However, Hurricane Milton devastated Florida recently. It wrecked the west coast and traveled across the state, dumping rain and gusting winds for hours. Now, many celebrities are coming together for benefit concerts and donations, helping where they can. Recently, Taylor Swift, the richest female artist in the world right now, donated a staggering amount to hurricane relief.

Swift donated $5 million to Feeding America, a non-profit food bank organization. Feeding America is currently working in the devastated areas, bringing residents food, water, and emergency supplies. The organization posted about Swift’s donation on social media.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts,” they said in a statement by CEO Claire Babineax-Fontenot. “This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.”

They added, “Together, we can make a real impact in surrounding families as they navigate challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need.”

Taylor Swift Gives Big to Hurricane Relief

Taylor Swift’s fans were encouraged to add their own donations, and many fans in the comments wrote about her generosity. “This is why her fans stand with her through everything. She puts kindness and generosity into everything she does,” one person wrote.

“She has also been donating to local food banks at each of her Eras tour stops! Grateful to her for feeding those in need,” another fan commented. One person wrote, “So rad! Hate her or love her, she puts her money to great use and has a big heart.”

Other artists and celebrities are donating funds as well. Dolly Parton donated $2 million to help rebuild east Tennessee, where she grew up. For North Carolina, which was devastated by mudslides, Morgan Wallen donated $500,000. Additionally, Luke Combs announced a benefit concert for North Carolina along with Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor.
