With Jelly Roll continuing to tour the country, entertaining fans with his music and rags-to-riches story, the country singer recently released his newest album Beautifully Broken. Not remotely running from his past, the singer used his troubles to help fuel his career in music. And outside of the studio, Jelly Roll is doing more than touring as he recently announced he was opening a new bar in Nashville.

Over the last few years, country singers looked to leave their mark on Nashville with more than just music. Stars like Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Kid Rock, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks, Morgan Wallen, and even Lainey Wilson opened bars in the historic city. Wanting to add his name to the list, Jelly Roll dropped the announcement when he appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Not giving away too many details about what the bar might look like or when it would open, the singer revealed the name would be Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville.

Registering the name over the summer, Jelly Roll revealed the bar would feature a back bar named after his late father. Labeling it Buddy’s Bar, he explained, “Our rule is, it’s open to the public when it’s open to the public. And when it’s not it’s not.”

Jelly Roll Wrote Over 150 Songs For New Album

Outside of his new venture in the bar business, Jelly Roll also took a moment to discuss his new album with Taste of Country Nights. Giving a glimpse into the process, he revealed, “There’s a lot of storytelling on this album. I wrote a probably hundred and some songs last year, maybe 150 plus, trying to figure this album out.”

With Jelly Roll embracing his countless fans, he praised them for helping guide him through the process. “I’ve never been so inspired, though. I was getting so many stories. People were pouring into me. I’m at gas stations and red carpets and I’m hearing life stories from people — really inspiring stories.”

While writing 150 songs for a single album might be some type of record, not all made it on the finished product. But not remotely worried about the songs not making the cut, Jelly Roll insisted, “I’ve never wrote more.” Showing no signs of slowing down, the country star continues to helm his Beautifully Broken tour, which will run throughout the remainder of the year.
