There are dozens of artists out there who have been snubbed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We think these six particular snubs should be inducted into the Hall of Fame ASAP.

    1. Pixies

Pixies spearheaded the alternative rock revolution of the 1990s. And for some reason, they’ve never even been nominated for a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They’ve been eligible since around 2013, so what gives?!

    2. Sonic Youth

Noise rock wouldn’t have had its heyday and influenced countless rock bands that blew up at the turn of the 21st century without Sonic Youth. They were pioneers of noise and have an incredible discography of music. Their tunes made it to the Library of Congress, so why haven’t they made it to the Hall of Fame? They’ve been eligible for nomination since 2008, but have been nominated exactly zero times.

    3. Joy Division

…And New Order, too, for that matter. Both bands were insanely influential in rock music. The Cure made it in, so why didn’t Joy Division get their flowers? The post-punk outfit has been eligible since 2004 and has been nominated once thus far.

    4. Iron Maiden

Out of most of the Hall of Fame snubs on this list, Iron Maiden is probably the most surprising. Their name is synonymous with rock, after all. They’ve also been eligible for decades at this point. Despite being eligible since 1996, Iron Maiden has only been nominated once and still hasn’t gotten a proper induction.

    5. Devo

This entry is wild, namely because they’ve been nominated three times in the last two decades. Still no induction! This outfit of weirdos is probably the most famous American new wave band of all time. Their music was massively influential, both in the music world and in popular culture. They deserve their flowers!

    6. Thin Lizzy

Thin Lizzy has been eligible for Hall of Fame nomination since 1996, and they’ve been nominated just once with no success. It’s hard to imagine hard rock bands like Def Leppard or Guns N’ Roses even existing without their influence. Only time will tell if they actually get in, but they definitely deserve it.

Maiden doesn't care, but they should have been inducted long ago.
