Former Ozzy Osbourne Guitarist Jake E. Lee Was Shot After Stopping a Vehicle Theft in His Neighborhood

Jake E Lee, former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and founder of Red Dragon Cartel was shot multiple times last Tuesday (October 15). The incident happened near his Las Vegas home. Initially, authorities believed the shooting to be a random attack. However, that is not the case. In a recent update, Lee revealed what led to him being shot.

Yesterday (October 20), Lee took to Facebook to give his fans and followers an update on his condition. At the same time, he gave them a little more information about the incident. “Thank you again for all your concern,” he began. “A quick update: back home recuperating. A big thanks to those at Sunrise Hospital for taking such good care of me,” he added. Then, Lee gave a few details about the night he got shot.

Jake E. Lee Recalls the Attack

“Walking home from our walk, Coco and I crossed paths with a couple of thieves. Dressed darkly, hoodies pulled down their faces, and masks covering their mouths. Standing in a neighbor’s driveway checking out his motorcycle,” Lee revealed. “There was a verbal confrontation which ended with an agreement that I would walk one way and they would walk the opposite. That didn’t work out,” he added. Lee went on to say that he would likely share more details about the incident at another time, but he can only comfortably do so “a little at a time” currently.

Jake E. Lee and Coco were fortunate. In a previous update, Lee revealed that one of the thieves emptied his pistol’s magazine in Lee’s general direction. Authorities found 15 spent shell casings at the scene of the crime. The shooter hit Lee three times. “I could only dodge so many so one bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot, and one in the back which broke a rib and damaged a lung,” Lee said. He spent some time in an Intensive Care Unit before going home to recover.

Coco, Lee’s dog was unharmed during the attack.
