High-Speed Chase: Carjacking Suspect Arrested After Inland Empire to L.A. Pursuit

In a dramatic turn of events Wednesday night, law enforcement officers engaged in a high-speed chase spanning from the Inland Empire to Los Angeles County, ultimately culminating in the arrest of a carjacking and domestic violence suspect.

The pursuit, which lasted over an hour, began when authorities responded to reports of domestic violence and a stolen vehicle in downtown Riverside. Upon attempting to pull over the suspect, he evaded capture, embarking on a reckless journey through surface streets before escalating onto the eastbound 91 Freeway.

With the suspect reaching speeds nearing 100 mph, California Highway Patrol (CHP) units joined the pursuit as it transitioned onto the northbound 215 and then the 210 Freeway, weaving through the San Gabriel Valley towards Los Angeles.

In a final bid to end the dangerous pursuit, CHP officers executed another PIT maneuver, bringing the suspect's car to a halt on the side of the 101 in Agoura Hills. Swiftly moving in, law enforcement officers surrounded the vehicle, apprehending the suspect shortly before 11 p.m.
