Target Kidnapping: Woman's Brazen Attempt foiled by Brave Parents

In a heart-stopping turn of events, a typical Sunday afternoon shopping trip turned into a nightmare for one family at a Target store in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance in locating a woman suspected of attempting to kidnap a 4-year-old child.

The chilling incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. at the Target store situated at 620 S. Virgil. According to reports from an LAPD Community Alert notification, the suspect, identified as a Black adult female approximately 40 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds, seized the child from behind without permission and proceeded to carry him outside of the store.

The sheer audacity of the act left bystanders in shock as the woman brazenly attempted to make off with the young child. It was only when the parents intervened that the suspect relinquished her grip on the child and fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a traumatized family and shaken witnesses.

Described as wearing a brown jacket, black shirt, blue jeans, and black and white shoes, the suspect remains at large as authorities intensify efforts to locate her. The LAPD is urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the identity of the suspect to come forward and assist in the investigation.
