No. 21 Baylor blows Cyclones back to Ames

WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) — The Bears weathered the storm and sent Iowa State packing with a 7-4 win to clinch the series against the Cyclones on Saturday.

Iowa State struck first in the first inning but the Bears rallied in the next two to take a 4-1 lead. However, a three-run home run from Tiana Poole pulled the two teams even in the top of the third at four.

The Bears wouldn’t let this game slip away, adding three runs courtesy of Shannon Vivoda and Aliyah Binford in the bottom of the fourth to take a 7-4 lead. From there, RyLee Crandall finished things out, going the distance en route to her ninth win of the season.

Baylor gets a week-long break before taking on the Red Raiders at Getterman starting on Friday, April 5th at 6:30 p.m.
