(Ames, IA) – Former Miami Ohio infielder, Reagan Bartholomew, has joined Iowa State University’s softball team as a transfer for the 2025 season. The Waukee, Iowa, returns home after two successful seasons with the RedHawks. She played a crucial role in Miami’s recent NCAA postseason appearance, contributing significantly to the team’s performance in the Knoxville Regional.

Standing at 5-10, Bartholomew brings considerable power to Iowa State’s lineup, having smashed 17 home runs and achieved a batting average of .348/.386/.738 in her sophomore year. Her outstanding performance earned her First-Team All-MAC and First-Team All-Region honors. Throughout her college career, she maintains a strong .349 batting average across 79 games, with 61 career hits. Coach Pinkerton is more than excited to bring Bartholomew to Iowa State stating, “With the signing of Reagan, we have solidified depth at several positions. She adds power to the middle of the lineup and postseason experience that will be invaluable to our young roster. We’re looking forward to having Reagan return home to her home state of Iowa and helping our team both athletically and academically.”

Bartholomew’s athletic achievements extend to her high school career at Waukee Northwest, where she played a pivotal role in winning the state championship in 2022 and earned first-team all-state honors as a junior. With two seasons of eligibility remaining, Reagan Bartholomew’s addition is expected to enhance Iowa State’s competitiveness both on the field and academically, as she returns to her roots in Iowa to continue her collegiate softball career.
