Former Cyclone Carleton suiting up for Canada on the hardwood

It may be hard to root against Team USA in the Olympics, but some Iowa State Cyclone women’s basketball fans may feel like doing just that if Canada and the US find themselves facing off on the court.
Former Cyclone Bridget Carleton is a member of Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team. The 6’1” guard from Chatham, Ontario played all four years of her collegiate career at Iowa State and racked up 2,142 points – just eight points shy of the ISU all-time career scoring record.
Among Carleton’s accomplishments while wearing the cardinal and gold:
Cheryl Miller Award Winner (2019)
2019 Big 12 Player of the Year
Naismith Starting Five Member (2019)
Carleton was drafted by the Connecticut Sun with the 21 st pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft and earned a roster spot her rookie year. She now plays for the Minnesota Lynx.
