Megan Hoffmann Kolb began the one-year anniversary of her father’s death before the sun came up. She awoke at about 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 29. She and her mom drove about an hour from Cedarburg to meet with other supporters of criminal justice reform outside Wisconsin’s Waupun prison, where Dean Hoffmann died by suicide in solitary confinement 366 days earlier.

A PetSmart spokesperson told a Daily Tribune reporter Tuesday the store expects to open in January, although a specific timeline has not been finalized. Man armed with AK-47, arrested near Republican convention in Milwaukee
In the wake of an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, a 21-year-old man was apprehended near the Republican National Convention site in Milwaukee. The suspect, wearing a ski mask and armed with an AK-47 pistol, was detained by Capitol Police and Homeland Security Investigations near the Fiserv Forum on Monday, July 15. Trump was scheduled to appear at the convention later that day.
