UND Bus Tour Rolling Through North Dakota Aug. 19-21
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (UND) – For the 32nd time, new University of North Dakota faculty and administrators will get a front-row seat on a tour of the state when they embark on this year’s bus tour of North Dakota on August 19-21. This year’s route will give the travelers, many of whom are new to the state, a chance to explore much of the southern portion of North Dakota, through or near communities such as Cooperstown, Carrington, Underwood, Bismarck/Mandan, Hebron, Medora, Jamestown and Fargo.
Man who robbed mail carrier at gunpoint gets 9.5 years in federal prison
FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo man who pleaded guilty to robbing a mail carrier at gunpoint last summer south of Fargo has been sentenced to 9.5 years in federal prison. On July 17, 2023, Deshaun Holmes pointed a gun at the mail carrier and demanded a key used to open multiple mailboxes in Fargo.

Grand Forks police asking your help in identifying robbery suspect
GRAND FORKS, ND — Grand Forks police are searching for an armed robbery suspect. The robbery happened on Wednesday near a business along South Washington Street, where the suspect was seen trying to steal a locked electric scooter with a pair of bolt cutters. A man confronted the suspect, and police say he responded by raising the bolt cutters in the air, threatening to hit the man before he fled the scene.

41-year-old man sentenced to 25 years for Rapid City rape
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) — A man was sentenced to 25 years in the penitentiary for forcible rape of a woman in March 2023. Timothy King, 41, of Manderson in Oglala Lakota County, pled guilty of second-degree rape in January 2024, according to the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office. He was sentenced on Tuesday in Rapid City.
