UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is facing two misdemeanor charges stemming from an encounter with a “terrified” drug-test sample collector earlier this year. Jones has been charged with assault and interference with communications, according to Bernadillo County (N.M.) online records, and is scheduled for a virtual bond hearing this Wednesday, July 17, at 9:15 a.m. local time (11:15 a.m. ET). Haven House, a shelter for domestic violence survivors, celebrated the addition of its pet shelter section with a ribbon cutting July 12. Cast a Line of Knowledge: Texas Parks and Wildlife Hosts Free Fishing Clinic for Locals
On July 23, the community has a chance to hook some knowledge along with some fish at the free Learn to Fish Clinic. Hosted by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in collaboration with MWR staff, the clinic will offer locals from ages 6 and up an opportunity to dive into the basics of fishing from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
