2024 Santa Fe Striders Scholarships For Cross Country And/Or Track Scholar Athletes Announced
The Santa Fe Striders would like to congratulate, Greta Smith, Anna Wetteland and Marisa Martinez, the winners of the 2024 Santa Fe Striders Scholarship for cross country and/or track scholar athletes. $7,000 was distributed between five recipients. This is the first year the HelenAnn Phillips Scholarship was awarded. The 2024 Santa Fe Striders Scholarships were supported by the John C. The Society of Catholic Scientists (SCS), New Mexico Chapter, invites the community to a special invited lecture “A Bell for Nagasaki” by Prof. James Nolan, Jr., at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at the Karen McLaughlin Parish Hall at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 3700 Canyon Road in Los Alamos. A Mass at 6 p.m. in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary will precede the talk in the main church.
Northwest Texas Panhandle Weather Alert: Damaging Winds, Hail Near Amarillo
Amarillo, TX – The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a severe weather alert for the northwest Texas Panhandle this evening. Residents in and around Amarillo should be prepared for potentially dangerous weather conditions, including large hail and damaging winds. The storms are most likely to occur between 6 PM and midnight, although some storm activity may persist into the early morning hours.

It's almost time for students to head back to the classroom for the 2024-25 school year. This means some of the students will returning to absolutely incredible campuses. Walnut Grove High School is one of those incredible campuses! This high school facility is more impressive than some college campuses. The gym looks like a college court, the food court looks like a mall. They have an indoor practice for football and the weight room is on another level.
