TPSO: Suspects sought in stolen puppy investigation
LORANGER (July 2, 2024) - The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) needs your help finding three stolen puppies as well as identifying and locating the two suspects accused of taking them from a home in the Loranger area. In the evening hours of Saturday, June 22, deputies responded to a home in the 17000 block of Highway 40 for a report of a theft in progress. Upon arrival, the homeowner reported that two white women had just pulled into his driveway in an unknown white vehicle, got out and took three German Shepherd puppies off of their leashes from his back porch. The theft was caught on home surveillance video. Sheriff Gerald Sticker encourages anyone with information about this theft, those responsible, or the whereabouts of the puppies, to contact Sgt. Jill Hutcheson in the Criminal Investigations Office at 985-748-3335. The Hammond-Ponchatoula Sunrise Rotary Club invites the public to attend a flag-raising on Thursday, July 4, at 8:30 a.m. at Hammond Square near the Olive Garden parking lot. SLU’s Artigues to chair 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Committee
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Southeastern Louisiana University Director of Athletics Jay Artigues has been selected to serve as the chair of the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee in 2024-25. Artigues is entering his fourth year on the committee which is responsible for selecting, seeding and bracketing the entire 64-team NCAA Tournament field. In addition, the committee is tasked with recommending rule changes and revisions to the NCAA Baseball Rules Committee.
