Two years after New Orleans approved a $35 million buyout for Gordon Plaza homeowners, the first group of homes built on top of a toxic landfill are scheduled for demolition. The city has approved tear-down permits for four homes on Gordon Plaza Drive, with demolition dates set for September, according to city records.
