STPSO Investigating Armed Robbery at Covington-area ATM
Detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit are investigating after a man was robbed at gunpoint while using a Covington-area ATM. Shortly before 10 p.m. Friday (June 28) a black male wearing a mask and dark clothing approached a man who was making a deposit at an ATM outside a bank on Highway 21 near Covington. Armed with a pistol, the suspect demanded the money the victim was attempting to deposit and then left the area in a dark colored sedan.

Livingston: Young father killed overnight after hitting tree
LIVINGSTON — The family of Joseph Dodds is asking for the public’s help to raise funds to cover the cost of a funeral after an unexpected deadly crash. It was just before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 when Louisiana State Police troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 63 near Hwy. 444 in Livingston. Troopers say Dodds was driving a 2022 Toyota Corolla south on Hwy. 63. For unknown reasons, Dodds went off the roadway and hit a tree. Troopers said he was not buckled and died at the scene. It’s unclear what led up to the crash and impairment is unknown at this time.
