“Like everything in life, DomAdi’s Deli has come to an end,” said a note posted on the DomAdi’s Facebook page . “We, the staff of DomAdi’s, are mourning the loss of this small treasure hidden on the southside, but we are also excited for what is to come.”

The DomAdi’s employee said the owners, Dominic and Adi Wade, moved out of the area around two years ago and decided it was time to sell the business. A new eatery is moving in and many of the DomAdi’s employees are set to return to work there.

Megan Podrazik, who owns Megabites Events and Catering , is taking over the space with her new delicatessen and market called Anthony’s. She told NEWS10 that the deli is named after her youngest son.

Anthony’s will be selling imported and local items, including a full deli with Boar’s Head meats, pizza, grab-and-go meals, and produce, as well as products from artists and local vendors. The eatery will have a seating area, as well as provide delivery all the way to Perth.

It’ll also serve as a central place for people to order Megabites catering, said Podrazik. Anthony’s will offer a monthly planning menu for people to plan their meals ahead of time, specialty meals for each day of the week, and full-service catering.

“We’re just really excited to bring Megabites over to the Southside,” said Podrazik. “I wouldn’t be able to do this without my fabulous team.”

After 51 years, Amsterdam restaurant closes its doors

Podrazik started Megabites during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Megabites is the concessionaire at the Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course and its food truck catering around the Capital Region. Podrazik also leases The Bridge Walk in Perth for catering events there, especially weddings.

Anthony’s anticipated grand opening is set for Wednesday, August 14, said Podrazik. The eatery will be closed on Sundays, open for breakfast, lunch and to-go dinners on Monday and Tuesday, and open on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
