Mohawks route Rapids in East Division semifinals

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Amsterdam Mohawks offense tallied 16 runs off 18 hits in their eastern division semifinal win against the Watertown Rapids.

Logan Forsythe set the tone throwing five innings striking out 10 batters and only surrendering four hits and no runs.

Cade Ladehoff hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the first giving the Mohawks an early lead that would only grow in the next three innings. Jimmy Dione and Drake Digiorno finished 3 for 3 at the plate, and Digiorno scored three runs. Javar Williams went 3 for 5 in the box with two RBI.

10 out of the 15 Mohawks lineup recorded a run in the win.
