Scotia-Glenville CSD mourns sudden loss of Glen-Worden Principal Nicholas Criscone
SCOTIA, NY (WRGB) — The Scotia-Glenville Central School district is mourning Sunday, after the death of Glen-Worden Elementary Principal Nicholas Criscone. In a letter to district families, Supt. Susan M. Swartz described Criscone as having a "true Tartan heart," citing his passion for his students, staff, parents and families, and his commitment to the Scotia-Glenville community.

Joining Contact in September 2013, she has played a significant role in supporting the operational and financial aspects of several key programs including 988, 211, Crisis Connect, and 911 co-location. She is a certified instructor in mental health and suicide prevention programs. A Syracuse University alumna, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health at Eastern Washington University. Rare Fungus That Kills Tens of thousand Of Trees Now In New York
A fungus that was first found in Wisconsin is now threatening trees in New York State. The New York State DEC wants New Yorkers to check on oak trees. "Be on the lookout for oak wilt throughout NYS! Have you checked your oak trees recently? Now is a great time to look for signs of oak wilt, a non-native fungus," the DEC stated on social media.
