Dallas police looking for two motorists after hit-and-run crash

    2024-06-18

Authorities have asked for the public's assistance in identifying two motorists who were allegedly involved in a deadly auto-pedestrian crash in Dallas. The incident took place over the weekend.

On Saturday, about 11:45 p.m. officers answered a call about a crash that happened in southeastern Dallas, close to Great Trinity Forest Way, in the 100 block of North Murdeaux Lane.

Detectives believe that an SUV that was going west on Great Trinity Forest Way and turning onto Murdeaux Lane struck a man in the roadway.

A second car was southbound on Murdeaux Lane and hit the victim, too, while it was turning at the intersection, based on official reports.

The crews immediately transported the man to a local hospital, but he died after reaching the medical facility.

His identity will be confirmed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's office.

Both motorists who were driving the vehicles that hit the man left the area, as the police stated.

Anyone who has relevant information about this hit-and-run crash is asked to get in touch with Detective Jason Massey at 214-671-0012 or to email jason.massey@dallaspolice.gov. Please reference case No. 088904-2024 and 089035-2024.
