    'All My Children' Actor Jeffrey Carlson Has Died at Age 48

    Actor Jeffrey Carlson from All My Children has reportedly passed away at age 48.

    Adam Feldman, the theatre editor for Time Out New York, tweeted the news of his passing on Saturday.

    Tributes poured in for the 48 year old known for his role as "Zoe" in All My Children.

    Adam tweeted: "RIP Jeffrey Carlson, 48, exposed-nerve star of Broadway (Billy in The Goat, Marilyn in Taboo) and TV (the groundbreaking trans character Zoe on All My Children). A powerful actor and a painful loss."

    He later added a comment to his own tweet, writing: "I first saw him in a Lee Blessing play called Thief River when he was still in Juilliard and it was clear he was something special."

    Tributes poured in for Jeffrey on Adam's post, as actor Malin Ireland wrote: "Devastated to hear of this. A wonderful friend and brilliant actor. We did a play together many years ago and he dazzled me."

    Iris Dorbian tweeted, "I saw him play Hamlet at the Shakespeare Theatre in DC years ago. RIP."

    Cara Joy David tweeted, "As a soap person, not enough can be said about how important his AMC character was (despite a bungling at the start). I also of course remember him from his many theater performances and the kindness he showed me. This one hurts."

    JennX tweeted, "I saw his final performance in The Goat. He was simply wonderful. How terribly sad. Love and strength to his family, friends, and colleagues."
