Hazardous Weather Outlook This Week for NC & VA

Be prepared for wet weather events this week in parts of NC and VA. Take precautions and expect travel delays and hazardous road conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook alert for Caswell County in North Carolina and surrounding areas.

NC counties affected: Ashe-Alleghany-Stokes-Rockingham-Caswell-Watauga-Wilkes-Yadkin.

VA counties affected: Tazewell-Smyth-Bland-Giles-Wythe-Pulaski-Montgomery-Grayson-Craig- Henry-Pittsylvania-Campbell-Appomattox-Buckingham-Halifax-Charlotte.

Starting Sunday, January 7 - Saturday, January 13.

The NWS issued the following statement:

"Monday through Saturday, another low pressure system during Monday night into Tuesday may bring a risk of wintry precipitation, heavy rainfall that could lead to flooding, and gusty winds. .
