Cold Front Brings Heavy Precipitation to NC

Rain is currently being dumped on Louisiana up to Michigan by the approaching storm system. This system is even causing snow in some places. There will be multiple areas of rain when the system moves into our region.

On Wednesday, the rain might start before the sun rises. Showers are expected to come and go until Thursday night. Thursday night will see the system move out, leaving Friday and the weekend with windy but warmer weather.

The area east of Raleigh and Interstate 95 is probably going to see the most rainfall. The total amount of rain expected is between one and three inches. In places with inadequate drainage, that can result in minor floods.

If you are planning an outdoor weekend, then everything appears to be going well.

There should be an abundance of sunshine, and highs will rise into the mid- to upper-70s.
