    Weather Advisory Issued for NC

    Don't put away the winter coats just yet, and bring plants indoors for now to protect them from frost expected now through tomorrow 9am.

    The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory tonight in certain parts of North Carolina. Plan accordingly and beware of slick spots on roads tonight through tomorrow morning.

    Areas affected in North Carolina are: Madison; Swain; Haywood; Buncombe; Graham; Northern Jackson; Macon; Southern Jackson; Transylvania; Henderson; Greater Caldwell; Greater Burke; Eastern McDowell; Rutherford Mountains; Greater Rutherford; Polk Mountains; and Eastern Polk.

    The following Frost Advisory was issued for NC by the NWS:

    "Frost Advisory issued April 22 at 2:16PM EDT until April 23 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

    * WHAT...Temperatures as low as 35 will result in frost formation.

    * WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina.

    * WHEN...From 2 AM to 9 AM EDT Tuesday.

    * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

    Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
