Two Teens Seriously Injured In Sterling After ATV Collides With SUV
Two teenagers were hospitalized with serious injuries on Monday after the all-terrain vehicle they were riding collided with an SUV in Sterling. According to the Department of Public Safety dispatch on the incident, shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, the two teens were riding a Yahama four-wheeler at the intersection of Robinson Loop Road and Valley View Road when they failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver of the ATV attempted to cross Robinson Loop Road and crashed into the side of a black Toyota FJ.

Drawing comparisons to glass mosaics, gallery-goers may recognize some familiar characteristics of Alaska beaches — like shells, driftwood and sea stars — infused in glass pourings. Chinese warships spotted near Alaska, U.S. Coast Guard says
Multiple Chinese military ships were spotted by the U.S. Coast Guard in the waters off Alaska, officials said in a news release on Wednesday. Three vessels were detected about 124 miles north of the Amchitka Pass in the Aleutian Islands, and a fourth ship was spotted about 84 miles north of the state's Amukta Pass. The ships were seen on Saturday and Sunday. All four ships were in international waters, the Coast Guard said, but were inside the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone, which extends 200 nautical miles from the U.S. shoreline. She says she was thrilled to join Kinross Alaska and Contango Ore this week to celebrate pouring the first gold from the Manh Choh Mine.
