The wife of former Anderson County Schools principal Dan Jenkins, Carrie Jenkins has resigned from her position as head guidance counselor of Clinton High School. Carrie Jenkins is married to Dan Jenkins, former Clinton High School principal who resigned in April during a grade changing scandal at the school. Carrie was also suspended pending an investigation, and the school’s contract with head football coach Darrell Keith was not renewed.

The city of Clinton has bought a 1.17-acre tract on North Main Street from the. Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, and has begun grading the property. to create a new downtown parking lot. The Anderson County Chambe purchased the property as a home for a new chamber building. However, after purchasing the land another parcel of property was donated to the Chamber for the new building. The Chamber paid 199k for the land and sold it to Clinton City for 150kThe city closed on the $150,000 land.
House Fire on West Wolf Valley Last Night
A fire overnight has caused severe damage to a home on West Wolf Valley Riad in Anderson County. Fire departments from the area all participated in trying to put out the fire. WYSH communicated with Clinton Fire Chief Jeff Little said the Clinton Fire Department helped put out the fire. Clinton City sent their large 3000-gallon fire truck to try to help. According to little there was substantial loss to the home. No injuries have been reported.
