Attempted Murder arrest after Upstate weekend stabbing

A suspect is in custody after a weekend stabbing in Anderson. Police responded to a reported stabbing at an apartment on Marchbanks Avenue, Saturday morning.

While on the way to the scene, officers spotted a vehicle speeding from the area with their emergency flashers on. The officer followed the vehicle to the hospital and found out the victim was in the car.

The woman was brought into the Emergency Room covered in blood and was said to have part of a knife in her back.

That night, officers located and arrested the suspect Da'Shawn Larkeith Johnson He's charged with attempted murder.
