A big storm moved across central Illinois on Monday night, bringing broad and severe destruction. The 70 mph wind gusts produced the storm resulted in major harm to trees, electricity lines, and houses. On Tuesday morning, residents found tree limbs strewn about their yards and streets. It was an incredible weather event yesterday. Our entire area, at one point or another, was under a tornado warning, and I can’t remember if that’s ever happened before. Tornado confirmed in Davenport, work continues to restore electricity
(Radio Iowa) – The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has confirmed a tornado hit Davenport during last night’s storms. Meteorologist Brian Pierce says they don’t know the full extent of the damage or the exact time the tornado touched down, but they do know with some confidence the size and scope of the tornado.

Tornado Warnings Around the Tri-Counties Illinois
A Radar indicated tornado warning has been issued for parts of Rock Island, Mercer, Whiteside and Henry Counties. The warning is currently from the Quad Cities to Atkinson but the warning is expected to extend southeast. VERY strong winds have been confirmed with these storms. FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 30-year-old Illinois man accepted a plea agreement Tuesday in connection with the fatal 2023 shooting of a Fort Wayne man. Jesse Shears was one of four people charged with murder in connection with the death of 40-year-old Dennis Starr of Fort Wayne. Samuel Evans III, 51, 24-year-old Samuel Evans IV and 26-year-old Lexus Evans, a father and his two children, were also charged in the case.
