Former manager of Smithfield Chicken & BBQ wanted for larceny and embezzlement charges
EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA — The Kinston Police Department are searching for a former restaurant employee who is wanted for failing to make bank deposits. Warrants were obtained for 32-year-old Haley Walton of Jacksonville who has been charged with two counts of larceny by employee and two counts of embezzlement, according to KPD.

Durham Gets Only Garage Store in Triangle
Garage, a Canada-based women’s clothing store, opens this week at The Streets at Southpoint in South Durham. The company has more than 100 locations across the United States, but the Southpoint shop currently will be the only Garage store in the Triangle. Garage is a subsidiary of Groupe Dynamite, which also owns and operates another woman’s clothing store called Dynamite.
Food truck park open in Durham, North Carolina
A food truck park called The Can Opener recently opened in Durham, North Carolina. It will hold a grand opening ceremony on Aug. 17, according to a report by CBS 17. Open seven days a week, the park currently has Gussy's, Chick-N-Que, Bulkogi, Queen Eggxpress and Andia's Ice Crem food trucks.
