Angola’s Harris commits to Illinois volleyball

ANGOLA, Ind. (WANE) – Angola High School junior Maya Harris still has two seasons of high school volleyball left, but the Hornets standout has already picked her college, verbally committing to the University of Illinois on Wednesday.

Last year as a sophomore Harris tallied 316 kills – second-most on the team behind Notre Dame signee Morgan Gaerte – for a Hornets team that went 33-2. She was third on the team in aces (97), digs (209), while adding 30 total blocks.
