Good afternoon everyone. As stated in this morning's article, the "best" chance to see some severe weather today would be across parts of WIsconsin and Illinois. Due to late development and development elsewhere, we negate Wisconsin from the list, but we add Iowa and Michigan.

Two batches of strong thunderstorms have developed across parts of Iowa, Illinois, and Michigan. The first batch is a broken line that ranges from Michigan to Ilinois. An isolated cell associated with this line located in northeast Illinois, is expected to grow out and possibly complete the line as the afternoon goes on.

The other batch is located in north central Iowa and moving towards eastern Iowa, eventually into Illinois. With either of these areas, we can see isolated severe weather. While we don't have any severe thunderstorm watches at this time, we could see a few watches issued over the course of the next few hours.

At minimum, even if we don't see watches posted, we could still see isolated severe weather in these areas. Look for the possibility of locally damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning, torrential rain, and the possibility of an isolated tornado. As with our storms the last several days, expect the action to begin to fizzle out once the sun goes down and thunderstorms lose their fuel.

Stay tuned to your local agencies for the latest watches and warnings in your area.
