Good morning everyone. We continue to play the game of waking up to heavy showers and storms leftover from the severe weather the night before. This morning, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are the main focus over the next few hours for some heavy rain and rumbles.

While we don't have any severe thunderstorm watches at this time, we could still see some isolated severe weather in the form of damaging winds, hail, and frequent lightning. As of this moment, the tornado risk is low, but things change as the day wears on.

Behind this line of heavy showers and storms you see stretching from the Upper Midwest down into the Central States, individual cells will develop during the afternoon and evening. These have the potential to quickly reach severe limits, with the possibility of damaging winds, very large hail, and some tornadoes.

The largest risk for these for these storms will be Missouri and Illinois, but we could also see parts of Iowa, Kansas, Indiana, Nebraska, and Wisconsis get nipped. Stay tuned to your local agencies for the latest watches and warnings, and do not let your guard down after this morning's round of storms.
