Good evening everyone. We're beginning to see those heavy showers and thunderstorms developing that we discussed in this morning's article.

A broken line of storms stretch from western Nebraska, through the southeast corner of Wyoming, and into extreme northern Colorado. We are also seeing some nasty individual cells popping up in parts of South Dakota and slowly building in Montana.

Some of these storms have had a history of ping pong size hail and winds in excess of 60mph. We may also see frequent lightning, torrential rain, and the chance of an isolated tornado. For this reason, the National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10pm MDT/11pm CDT in parts of Montana and South Dakota.

In other areas such as Nebraska and Wyoming where watches haven't been issued, we are seeing individual severe thunderstorm warnings issued for single-cell storms that have been very rough.

Look for storms to continue into the overnight hours before fizzling out some time before or after sunrise.
