Good afternoon everyone. In this morning's forecast, we talked about our lingering stationary front. morphing into Tropical Storm Francine's outflow boundary.

We are watching that process take place, making for a rough afternoon for coastal sections of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. The areas of heaviest convection sit off of the Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida coast, with special marine warnings posted off of the Florida panhandle by the National Weather Service in regards.

Locally strong to severe storms have had a history of damaging winds, frequent lightning, torrential rain, and the risk of waterspouts. Over maritime interests, strong winds can cause suddenly rough sea conditions capable of damaging or overturning small to medium size vessels.

Expect this trend to continue and worsen as what-will-be Hurricane Francine nears the central Louisiana coast. We are not expetcing thunderstorm action to fizzle out with sunset as with the last week or so, but to continue on and intensify. Also, the risk of severe weather will increase as time goes on and strong convective bands arrive.

Widespread severe weather with the risk of damaging winds and tornadoes, is possible in the Florida panhandle, western Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, eastern Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Illinois over the next few days.
