Good afternoon everyone. We're watching heavy convective thunderstorm bands lifting northward out of Kentucky & Tennesse, and into areas of Ohio and Indiana.

Strong winds, heavy rain, and embedded severe weather have been par for the course as this area of energy moves through each region. In southern Ohio on the Kentucky border, tornado warnings have been issued for radar-indicated rotation, as well as severe thunderstorm warnings.

These storms have had a history of 70mph wind gusts, hail, torrential rain, frequent lightning, and risk of brief tornadoes. Expect this action to continue to lift to the north, then possibly west into Indiana. Meanwhile, areas such as Columbus and Dayton, OH have received copious amounts of rain and gusty winds.

Heavy rain with embedded severe is likely to continue into the evening and overnight hours as our storm system spreads both west and east, and high pressure tries to suppress it from going any further north.
