Good afternoon everyone. Low pressure hanging back along the border of Kentucky and Tennessee, will rotate spokes of energy through the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast over the next couple of afternoon & evenings.

We're watching this scenario play out across parts of Florida, where popcorn-variety scattered heavy showers & thunderstorms have developed over coastal and inland sections from Fort Myers to Melbourne. Locally strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, with strong winds, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, hail, torrential rain, and the risk of a few waterspouts.

Another area we are watching, is across parts of northern Georgia, western North Carolina, upstate South Carolina, and West Virginia. With low pressure in close proximity to the area and stalled out, we are expecting scattered heavy showers & thunderstorms to develop each afternoon/evening due to sunshine working an unstable atmopshere.

Here too, we can see locally heavy rain, gusty winds, and some thunder. Most importantly, these are areas that have already gotten too much rain and have rescue efforts ongoing in flood-stricken areas. Even a little bit of rain could cause a big problem at this point.

Whether it's Florida, the Carolinas, or the rest of the Southeast, we expect shower and thunderstorm action to subside each day a few hours after sunset as those storms lose thier fuel. However, we expect more heavy showers & strong to severe thunderstorms tomorrow, with the help of more sunshine and tropical energy sticking around.
