Good afternoon everyone. We're continuing to watch the south end of our stationary front become more enhanced as tropical energy rides along it and into parts of Florida.

Soaking rain and rumbles of thunder encompass 3/4 of the entire state, but the heaviest action looks to in the areas of Sarasota, West Palm Beach, Miami, and is also expected to come ashore into the Everglades City & Naples area over the next couple of hours. On the east coast of Florida, heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue to rise northward near the Key Largo area and into the Miami-Dade Metro region.

Our batch off of the coast west/south west of Naples and Everglades City, is the heaviest of the bunch. Here, the National Weather Service has issued a Special Marine Warning for sudden rough seas and winds that could damage or capsize vessels. We are also seeing the risk of waterspouts with this cluster of strong to severe thunderstorms.

Overall, we will continue to watch tropical activity intesify and widen in scope as our strom to the west becomes more organizes and heads towards the west coast of Florida. Aside from the "typical" issues a landfalling system brings, we will also have a severe weather component to this as time goes on.

Areas not impacted by intense winds and the coastal effects of our system, could see severe thunderstorms capable of damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning, torrential rain, and widespread brief tornadoes.

The timeline from our tropical heavy showers & thunderstorms today, to intense winds and damaging storms, then finally clearing out, looks to be today through late Thursday; with things finally clearing out by Friday.
