Good afternoon everyone. Cold air continues to sweep down from Canada into the Upper Midwest, Central States, Northeast, and New England. This is the coolest day by far in the Northeast & New England, so you can expect some unseaonably chilly/cold temperatures overnight tonight.

In areas such as southeast New York, northwest New Jeresey, and most of Pennsylvania, we are expecting those temperatures to plunge into the 20's overnight in many spots. For this reason, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for overnight tonight in these areas mentioned.

We also have the continuation of freeze warnings that'll carry over into tonight across most of Indiana, Ohio, as well as southern Illinois and parts of Kentucky. Where we don't see freeze warnings, heavy frost is possible in surrounding areas as temperatures hover around 32 degrees.

Expect very cool days and cold nights to carry on until things modify on Friday, then a pleasant weekend across the Northeast, with the chance of some 70 degree temperatures during the day, 40's and 50's overnight.
