Good morning everyone. Quiet & mild to warm conditions continue across the entire Northeast and New England today, plus for the next several days. We have a warm one today along the coastal plain, with widespread near 80 degree temps. We'll have a gradual cool-down through the week as we drop into the 70's, then a sharp cool-off Thursday with 50's and 60's returning.

The only other action we really have otherwise, is some strong to severe weather out in north Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. Low pressure continues to spin away back in Colorado, with energy colliding with relatively warmer and more humid air. This is helping to spark some heavy showers and thunderstorms across the region.

Look for locally severe weather possible across the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma, and into central Kansas and Nebraska. Some of these storms are capable of and have a history of damaging winds up to 60mph, large hail, frequent lightning, and torrential rain. This action is expected to continue throughout the day before eventually fading out.

Here is your local NYC Metro forecast -

Sunshine continues today as we peak with some near 80/low 80 degree temperatures. We sink back down to the very mild realm tomorrow, with upper 70's likely.

On Wednesday, we're in the mid to upper 70's before the rug gets pulled out on us. It'll still be sunny, but low to mid 60's are likely on Thursday. Look for low 60's on Friday with more dry conditions.

Your weekend is looking even cooler, with upper 50's and sunshine likely.
