Good morning everyone. In the Northeast today, we're doubling up on our warm days before a cooling trend begins. Sunshine and light winds will help boost temperatures near 80 again along the coastal plain one more time before we settle back into 70's. Much cooler air begins to filter in by Thursday, with 60's returning until Sunday. Once Sunday hits, look for widespread 50's and maybe even some 40's in the higher elevations as frost and freeze concerns return for the overnight hours.

For New England, we're watching that tropical energy very closely to see if an approaching front is enhanced as that energy goes well-out-to-sea. If so, we could get some squally tropical showers and thunderstorms across Southeast New England some time on Thursday. We'll keep an eye on that for Rhode Island and extreme southeast Massachusetts for some scattered gusty showers & rumbles.

Florida is dealing with those scattered gusty showers as we speak. They're on the widely scattered side, but we are seeing some heavier brief rain mixed in with a few rumbles of thunder along the east coast. That consistent onshore flow is also creating issues with rough surf, enhanced tides, and minor coastal flooding.

Our last stop is across areas of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, where the low pressure we saw yesterday out in Kansas caused some severe weather. There's not much left with it, but we are seeing some heavy showers and thunderstorms exiting Iowa and about to enter Wisconsin, plus a narrow line of gusty showers & thunderstorms in central Illinois. Not everyone will see this rain, which raises concerns about fires with the very dry conditions and gusty winds.

Here is your local NYC Metro Forecast -

Look for full sunshine today and another round of near 80/low 80 degree temps. We'll have a very mild day tomorrow, with 75-80 degree temps and more sunshine.

Cooler air works in on Thursday, with sunshine and a breeze with highs in the low to mid 60's. We'll have more sunshine on Friday with mid 60's.

We hold onto 60's for one more day on Saturday, then look for mid to upper 50's on Sunday with sun & clouds.
