Good afternoon everyone. Scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms have begun to dot wide areas of Florida; ranging from the Florida Keys, east & west coast, and up into northern Florida. We are also seeing some heavy showers and thunderstorms along the southeast Georgia coast, especially in the Brunswick area.

This is all due to a stationary front that continues to linger across the state, allowing waves of energy and tropical moisture to blossom each day as sunshine works the atmosphere, and combines forces with opressive heat and humidity.

Look for the continuation of heavy tropical-like showers and storms, with embedded stronger to severe storms possible, especially along the coastal sections. We'll have the risk of torrential rain, strong gusty winds, hail, frequent lightning, and the risk of waterspouts.

Meanwhile, we are starting to watch our severe weather component out West starting to pop up. Heavy isolated storms dot parts of Utah, Colorado, and western Montana; where some isolated severe weather has been reported. We are also expecting these storms to eventually drift into areas of Wyoming and Nebraska later on this evening into tonight.

Look for the risk of very large hail, frequent lightning, torrential rain, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes with the severe weather risk out west.

I guess you're lucky if you don't reside on the coast and you're more in the middle of the state. Next year GA will see an unprecedented heat wave, winter this year will also be unprecedented.
